Man arrested on suspicion of assaulting girlfriend in supermarket parking lot in MT
A 24-year-old man was arrested in Várzea Grande, Brazil, for allegedly assaulting his 20-year-old girlfriend in a supermarket parking lot.
A 24-year-old man was apprehended on Friday, the 27th, for allegedly assaulting his 20-year-old girlfriend in a parking lot of a supermarket located in Várzea Grande, near Cuiabá. According to a witness who reported the incident to the Municipal Intelligence Center of Security, the suspect threw the victim against a wall in the parking lot. Upon arrival at the scene, municipal guards were informed that the couple had returned to a residence in the Nossa Senhora da Guia neighborhood.
When the guards approached the house, they heard screams and decided to enter the property. Inside, they discovered the suspect with the victim, who was in tears in one of the rooms. Both individuals had visible injuries. Additionally, law enforcement recovered a substance believed to be marijuana, which the suspect admitted ownership of. He was subsequently taken to the Central Flagrante, where the case is under investigation by the Civil Police.
