Law enforcement authorities from the Bahia Civil Police, specifically the Department of Repression and Combat to Organized Crime (Draco), were deployed to the area and responded promptly to the situation. Following the victim's report, officers intervened and apprehended the suspect, during which they discovered the victim's belongings—including her cellphone and credit card—on him. The couple was subsequently taken to the Posto Policial Servir, where the man faced charges of bodily injury and threat.
