In southeastern China, the world's highest outdoor escalator has been unveiled, located in the scenic Lingshan area of Shangrao, Jiangxi province. This remarkable structure measures 1,236 meters in length and allows visitors to ascend a peak of 1,500 meters in just ten minutes. It was designed as part of a broader strategy to promote accessible tourism, catering specifically to older individuals and those with mobility challenges, making the mountainous terrain more navigable.

Known as the 'stairway to the clouds', the escalator offers an unprecedented experience, comparable in elevation to 88 floors. It gracefully integrates into the natural landscape, appearing as a metallic ribbon suspended along the mountainside. Serving not only as a transportation tool, it enhances the scenic beauty of Lingshan, which is characterized by its 72 peaks and mist-covered vistas, thereby attracting both tourists and nature enthusiasts alike.
