Pakistan Aligns with Saudi Arabia Amid Iran-Israel Conflict, Shehbaz Sharif's Warning
Pakistan has expressed solidarity with Saudi Arabia and Gulf nations amid escalating tensions following attacks from Israel and the US on Iran.
Amid rising crises in West Asia, Pakistan has demonstrated complete unity with Saudi Arabia and the Gulf nations. Following attacks from Israel and the US, Iran has targeted regions in Saudi Arabia. In response, a recent agreement between Islamabad and Riyadh has been reached, which establishes that any attack on one will be regarded as an attack on both. This marks a significant attempt by Pakistan to solidify its diplomatic stance in the region.
In the wake of these developments, Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that he communicated with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to articulate Pakistan's position on the dangerous regional conditions that arose after Israeli attacks on Iran. Sharif emphasized that Pakistan condemns these attacks and stands firmly with Saudi Arabia and the Gulf countries during these challenging times, demonstrating an effort to forge strong alliances.
Furthermore, Sharif expressed Pakistan's commitment to playing a constructive role in peace efforts, hoping for stability in the region, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan. This stance underlines Pakistan's intention to be proactive in diplomatic dialogues while navigating the complex geopolitical landscape characterized by conflict and alliances among Iran, Israel, and the Gulf states.
