Alert issued for Mexicans in the Middle East: What to do and where to communicate?
Mexican officials have issued a warning for nationals in the Middle East following escalating tensions between the U.S., Iran, and Israel.
In light of recent military actions where the United States conducted an attack against Iran, prompting a missile response from Iran towards Israel, Mexican diplomatic authorities have issued a warning for its nationals in the Middle East. The alert advises Mexicans to take shelter and refrain from travel in the region amid the heightening conflict.
The Embassy of Mexico in the United Arab Emirates released a statement from the Secretariat of Foreign Relations (SRE), urging citizens in the area to remain vigilant and to monitor official communications from local authorities. They emphasized the importance of heeding any directives from civil protection agencies regarding emergency protocols and safety measures.
As the situation evolves, the Embassy is keeping close track of developments and has pledged to notify nationals immediately should any critical instructions from competent authorities arise. They have also strongly advised against traveling to these conflict-affected countries and encouraged citizens to verify their travel statuses as the situation remains precarious.
