War between Iran and the US... Advisory issued for Indians residing in these countries including the Middle East
Tensions in the Middle East escalated after a joint attack by the US and Israel on Iran, prompting advisories from the Indian embassy for its citizens in the region.
Tensions in the Middle East reached a peak following a joint military attack by the United States and Israel on Iran. In response to this aggression, Iran retaliated by targeting American military bases, leading to an even more volatile situation in the region. Given the escalating conflict, the Indian embassy issued advisories for its citizens residing in several countries including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bahrain, and Palestine, urging them to exercise caution and remain vigilant.
In light of the security concerns, Indian airlines have taken precautionary measures, with Air India deciding to cancel all flights to the Middle East. The Delhi-Tel Aviv flight (AI139) was called back mid-route as a safety measure. Indigo Airlines also suspended international flights over Iranian airspace due to the heightened risk, and Air India Express announced the suspension of all westbound international flights to ensure passenger safety amidst the ongoing hostilities.
The Indian embassy in Tel Aviv has issued an alert for Indian nationals, advising them to maintain "maximum vigilance" in light of the recent attacks on Iran. It has emphasized the need for Indian citizens to follow the instructions from Israeli authorities, particularly those from the Home Front Command, to avoid any emergencies and ensure personal safety as tensions rise in the region.
