Lithuania's Foreign Minister condemned Iran's attacks on several Middle Eastern countries and called for respect of sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Lithuania's Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys publicly condemned Iran's attacks on Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates through a social media statement. He stressed that Lithuania firmly denounces these unwarranted aggressions and emphasizes the importance of national sovereignty and territorial integrity, urging an immediate cessation of such destabilizing actions. Budrys highlighted the potential consequences of these attacks on regional stability and global security.

In his statement, Budrys also criticized Iran's destructive behavior in the region, its unwillingness to engage in constructive dialogue, and its dangerous nuclear ambitions. He pointed out that Iran's support for Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and the internal repression within its own borders are unacceptable. His comments reflect Lithuania's concern regarding the broader implications of Iran's actions on international peace and security.

Budrys called for restraint and a return to diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation. He underscored the critical nature of regional stability for global security, urging all nations involved to seek peaceful resolutions. Earlier in the day, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also issued a travel advisory for Lithuanian citizens, highlighting the growing tensions in the region, which enhances the urgency of the situation.
