“Sūduva” will be represented by a defender from Georgia

A Georgian footballer has signed a contract with Sūduva until the end of the 2027 season, following a successful trial.

Sūduva, a football club in Lithuania, has secured a promising young defender from Georgia, R. Grigalava, who impressed during a trial and has signed a contract that extends until the end of the 2027 season. This signing reflects the club's strategic move to bolster their defense with youthful talent. Grigalava, a product of Tbilisi's Dinamo, has previously represented Georgia at various youth levels including U17, U18, and U19 teams.

Head coach Donatas Vencevičius praised the new signing, stating that Grigalava has left a strong impression and possesses significant potential for growth in the team's structure. This acquisition aligns with Sūduva's goals of enhancing their squad with dynamic players as they prepare for the upcoming challenges in the Lithuanian football league, where they recently started their 2026 season ranking.

Sūduva began their season with a draw against Panevėžys (0:0) in an away match, and they are set to play their next game at home against Šiauliai. As the team focuses on improving their performance in the Lithuanian Top League, Grigalava's addition may be pivotal in strengthening their defensive capabilities and achieving better results.
