Sūduva secured a convincing win in their final preseason match, showcasing strong offensive play and resilience.
In their closing preseason fixture, Sūduva displayed an impressive performance against the team from Daugavpils, highlighting their attacking prowess. Emmanuel Akbor initiated the scoring in the 8th minute, capitalizing on a well-executed play involving Ibrahimo Secko, who made a significant contribution with his run into the penalty area. Just minutes later, in the 16th minute, Sūduva doubled their lead as Amadou Sabo scored following a blocked shot from Secko, reaffirming their dominance early in the match.
Daugavpils managed to respond by narrowing the gap in the 41st minute, with Shintaro Ide capitalizing on a defensive error by Sūduva. However, the lead was quickly restored just before halftime when Fausto Steponavičius hit the crossbar and E. Agbor scored his second goal after a setup from Sidy Sanokho. This sequence underlined Sūduva's offensive capabilities, creating multiple chances throughout the first half and ending it with a commanding 3-1 lead.
As the second half progressed, Daugavpils again reduced the deficit in the 60th minute due to another mistake from Sūduva.
