However, Seeman and Strombachs' resilience paid off as they won two crucial tie-breaks, securing victory with scores of 7:6, 3:6, 10:7.
In the first tie-break, Seeman and Strombachs had a commanding lead at 6:2, but a double fault allowed their opponents to narrow the gap to 6:5. Nevertheless, they managed to convert their fourth set point to take the first set. The second set saw Pinto and Urrea break early, taking a 3:0 lead, which they maintained to force a deciding set. The final tie-break was tightly contested, but a key mini-break at 7:6 shifted momentum back to Seeman and Strombachs, who claimed the match with two solid serves following an 8:7 point win.
