On Friday evening, two individuals were caught in an avalanche in Ulvik, located in the Vestland region of Norway. Fortunately, both individuals were able to free themselves from the snow while communicating with emergency services by phone. They were reported to be unharmed but unable to escape the area without assistance.

Ingrid Teigland Tepstad, the operations leader at Vest politidistrikt, conveyed that the authorities received a report of the avalanche at 18:48. The two individuals, after managing to get free, reached out on their own accord to the emergency services, highlighting the importance of remaining calm and communicating effectively during such emergencies. The avalanche did not impact the train line, which was a significant concern given the location.

The police coordinated efforts to assist the individuals in exiting the area safely and promptly called upon volunteers to aid in the rescue operation.
