With music and tradition, the Fair at the Square returns to downtown Teresina this Sunday (1st)
The Fair at the Square in Teresina is returning this Sunday, featuring local music and cultural performances as part of an initiative to revitalize the city's center.
This Sunday, the Fair at the Square will return to the center of Teresina, aiming to invigorate the urban space with cultural activities and opportunities for local artists. Scheduled from 8 AM to 1 PM at Praça Pedro II, the event is designed to provide a platform for local culture and generate economic opportunities for the community. Following the success of a special pre-carnival edition, the fair is now resuming its regular weekly schedule.
The event will feature a performance by the Grupo Carta Branca, a well-known local music group, along with a special showcase by the junina dance group ChapadΓ£o do Corisco. These performances underscore the fair's mission to highlight local talent and foster cultural diversity within the state. Such events serve not only as entertainment but also as a means to support and promote the artistic sector in Teresina.
Rodrigo Amorim, the state Secretary of Culture, emphasized that this initiative plays a critical role in the broader project aimed at revitalizing downtown Teresina. By utilizing public spaces for cultural activities, the Fair at the Square contributes to creating a vibrant community atmosphere and enhances the overall appeal of the city center. As such, it represents a strategic approach to urban renewal through the arts.
