The Bahia Public Defender's Office (DPE-BA) is set to offer free legal services in Bom Jesus dos Passos, a neighborhood in Salvador, on Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm. The legal support will take place in the sacristy of the Church of Bom Jesus dos Santos Passos, situated at Praça Comendador Neiva. This initiative aims to assist those in the community who may require legal advice and support without the means to pay for such services.

Services available during the legal aid event include divorce proceedings, child support, custody and visitation arrangements, acknowledgment of paternity, dissolution of stable unions, and inventory processing. Additionally, the DPE-BA will collaborate with the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) to provide legal guidance on social security matters. This collaboration is an outreach effort by the DPE-BA’s Itinerant Coordination and Mobile Unit, showing a commitment to making legal assistance more accessible to the population.

The legal services will be rendered on a first-come, first-served basis with no prior appointment necessary, making it convenient for locals to seek help. Individuals looking to utilize these services should bring basic documentation, including a national identity card (RG), taxpayer identification (CPF), proof of residence, and any relevant legal documents. This initiative reflects the ongoing efforts of the DPE-BA to support the community and empower citizens with legal resources in times of need.
