Sanremo 2026, record audience share. Guest Bianca Balti, Conti: "The cover night is the celebration par excellence"
The third night of the Sanremo Festival 2026 achieved a record audience share of 60.3%, confirming an upward trend for the event.
The Sanremo Festival 2026, hosted by Carlo Conti, achieved a remarkable audience share of 60.3%, with 9.336 million viewers tuning in for its third night. This marked an increase from the previous night, where 9.053 million viewers achieved a 59.5% share. Such figures indicate a strong recovery for the event, which began with a slower start, lighting hopes for the final two evenings of the prestigious festival.
Network Rai expressed great satisfaction with the viewership data, as Williams Di Liberatore, the Prime Time director, highlighted that this was the best share result for a third night since 1990. The festival's popularity seems to be growing, especially among younger audiences, with over 80% of the viewers aged between 15 and 34 being women. The peak viewership occurred during Alicia Keys' performance, which recorded an astonishing share of 65.8% between 10 PM and 10:15 PM.
Conti humorously attributed the festival's current success to the artistic direction, emphasizing that the event continues to be relevant and vibrant. He reflected on the legacy of the festival, suggesting that it stands as a celebration of music that resonates with new generations. The ongoing positive trends suggest the festival is not only surviving but thriving amidst the evolving media landscape in Italy.
