This year, seven acts are competing: Komiat, Etta, Kiki, Antti Paalanen, Chachi, Sinikka Monte, and the duo Linda Lampenius and Pete Parkkonen. Readers showed a strong preference for Lampenius and Parkkonen, who are performing their song 'Liekinheitin'.
As of midday Friday, nearly 6,500 votes had been cast, with 70% in favor of Lampenius and Parkkonen, solidifying their status as frontrunners. Following them in the poll was Antti Paalanen with his track 'Takatukka', receiving 13% of the votes, while Komiat placed third with 7% for their song 'Lululai'. The strong performance of these competitors suggests a competitive final ahead.
