During the team event of the European Championship taking place in Turkey, the Estonian women's badminton team encountered a tough opponent in Ukraine, ultimately losing the match 4:1. The opening game featured Kristin Kuuba, who played strongly against Polina Buhrova, currently ranked 46th in the world, but narrowly lost in a close contest with scores of 17:21 and 19:21. This performance showcased Kuuba's form and competitive spirit despite the loss.
Following Kuuba's match, Helis Pajuste and Catlyn Kruus took to the court in the singles matches. Kruus came particularly close to securing a game victory when she led 18:16 in the second game; however, a strong finish from her opponent turned the tide in favor of Ukraine, solidifying their match victory.
