Former Lyse CEO Nominated as New Chairman of DNB
Eimund Nygaard, former CEO of Lyse, is nominated to be the new chairman of DNB at the upcoming general assembly in April.
Eimund Nygaard, who previously served as the CEO of Lyse, is in line to be appointed as the new chairman of DNB during the upcoming general assembly scheduled for April. The nomination has been proposed by the chairperson of the nomination committee, Camilla Grieg, citing Nygaard's extensive experience in the industry as a key factor in his potential role at DNB.
Nygaard led the Lyse Group for 27 years, during which time he was instrumental in transforming the company from a local energy producer into a significant national player in the energy and telecommunications sectors. Grieg emphasized that his background equips him to contribute positively to DNB's future development, highlighting the importance of experienced leadership in steering the bank through evolving market conditions.
The voting for the new chairman will take place at the general assembly on April 21, where Olaug Svarva will also step down after eight years in the position. This transition marks a pivotal moment for DNB, as it seeks to enhance its leadership with someone who brings a wealth of experience and a successful track record in managing a major corporation.
