‘Quiet Rest at the Moonlit Beach’... Yangyang's Bonfire Festival to be Held on the 28th

The Yangyang Bonfire Festival will take place at Naksansa Beach from February 28 to March 1, emphasizing tranquility and immersive experiences rather than large performances.

The Yangyang Cultural Foundation has announced the upcoming 'Yangyang Naksansa Beach Moonlit Bonfire Festival', scheduled from February 28 to March 1 at Naksansa Beach's B Zone. This festival is distinct for its focus on providing a calm and immersive environment where visitors can enjoy the crackling of bonfires and the sound of ocean waves under the winter moonlight, aiming to offer a peaceful retreat from the city's hustle and bustle.

The festival's centerpiece, the 'Moonlit Bonfire Zone', features intimate settings for families and couples to enjoy the warmth of bonfires, with a charge of 10,000 KRW for the experience. There will be a total of 80 bonfire spots available each day, with reservations managed via the 'Gogoyangyang' app on a first-come, first-served basis, while some spots will be available for walk-in registrations. Operating hours for the festival are from 4 PM to 9 PM.

In addition to the bonfires, the festival offers various engaging activities including acoustic busking that harmonizes with wave sounds, a photo zone for capturing moments against the backdrop of a full moon, and glow-in-the-dark face painting for self-expression in the dark. Attendees will also have access to a winter snack market featuring local treats at reasonable prices, highlighting popular winter foods such as hotteok and spicy rice cakes. A representative from the Yangyang Cultural Foundation emphasized that the festival's focus is on sensory experiences and romantic atmospheres, encouraging visitors to create warm memories during winter nights at Naksansa Beach.
