New searches for a legendary train filled with treasures from World War II are generating excitement in Poland.

The legend of the Golden Train, rumored to be buried with immense treasures from World War II, has fascinated treasure seekers for decades. This enigmatic train was said to have been ordered by Nazi authorities in the Third Reich for local residents in Lower Silesia to deposit their valuables. Allegedly, these treasures were packed into 60 crates and hidden in a mysterious train that was supposed to reach Wałbrzych but mysteriously disappeared without a trace.

In the summer of 2025, renewed interest in the Golden Train emerged as a group led by Michał Motak, operating under the name 'Golden Train', claimed that they had found the train hidden within a tunnel leading towards Książ Castle. This revelation has prompted researchers to seek necessary permissions for exploratory work, including from the Wałbrzych municipality and the Świdnica Forestry Department, in hopes of uncovering the fabled train's location.

Additionally, Piotr Koper, who previously searched for the Golden Train over a decade ago, has pointed out specific coordinates in the Lower Silesian area that may lead to the mysterious train.
