Cloudy with local rain today - The weather pattern for the weekend

Today, cloudiness and local rains are expected in the Peloponnese and southern Ionian region, with sunny conditions prevailing elsewhere.

On Friday, the Peloponnese and southern Ionian regions of Greece are forecasted to experience increased cloudiness along with a few local rain showers. On the island of Euboea and in the eastern parts of Thessaly, temporary increased cloud cover may bring about weak local rains until midday. In other regions, generally fair weather is expected, with some clouds appearing occasionally in central Macedonia, the Sporades, eastern Sterea, the western Cyclades, and Crete.

Visibility may be locally restricted in the western and northern mainland during the evening hours. Wind conditions in the west will be easterly to southeasterly at speeds of 4 to 5 Beaufort, with local gusts in the southern regions reaching 6 Beaufort before gradually weakening. Meanwhile, in the eastern areas, winds will be coming from the northern directions at speeds ranging from 4 to 6 Beaufort, with stronger gusts locally in the Aegean reaching up to 7 Beaufort.

The temperature is not expected to change significantly, reaching around 10 to 12 degrees Celsius in the northeastern parts of the country, while other areas will see daytime highs of 13 to 15 degrees. Locally in the western mainland and Ionian islands, temperatures could reach higher values, suggesting a mild yet variable weather pattern as the weekend approaches.
