Borno State Governor, Prof Babagana Zulum, has reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing security measures while ensuring that ongoing developmental projects are completed promptly. During the first State Executive Council meeting of 2026, Zulum emphasized the importance of 2026 as a year for consolidation of efforts already underway. He noted that, despite improvements in security in various parts of the state, there is still much work to be done to ensure safety and stability in all communities.

The governor highlighted the need for strengthened collaboration with security agencies as a key component of his administration's strategy. He stated that safeguarding lives and property remains a top priority, and efforts will continue to address the outstanding security challenges that linger in Borno State.
