Borges, Klemm, and Mafalda: the pillars of the 2026 season at the Recoleta Cultural Center

The Recoleta Cultural Center has announced its programming for the 2026 season, presenting three major exhibitions that will highlight significant figures in Argentine culture. The exhibitions include a tribute to the 40th anniversary of the death of renowned author Jorge Luis Borges, a showcase of the visual artist Federico Klemm's works, and an immersive experience dedicated to Mafalda, the beloved character created by cartoonist Quino.
These three cultural icons are set to be the main attractions of the Recoleta's offerings this year, aiming to build on the success of the previous season, which drew nearly 800,000 visitors to the center. Alongside these exhibitions, the program will include showcases from established and emerging artists and will feature events in cinema, music, literature, and performing arts. This comprehensive cultural proposal is designed to create an engaging experience for the public, further enhancing the center's reputation as a leading cultural hub in Argentina.
The launch event took place in the designated space known as βLa Capilla,β led by Gabriela Ricardes, the Minister of Culture for the City, alongside Maximiliano Tomas, the director of the institution. The programming team was also present as they unveiled a diverse array of activities intended to attract even more visitors to the Cultural Center in the upcoming year, indicating a strong commitment to cultural enrichment and accessibility within the Argentine community.
