Entrepreneurship Development? Optimistic Forecasts
Experts predict a positive outlook for the development of micro-enterprises and SMEs in Poland by 2025, supported by improving economic conditions and consumer purchasing power.
According to Dr. Mariusz Cholewa, the President of the Credit Information Bureau, Poland's macroeconomic environment in 2025 is set to provide stable foundations that foster optimism regarding the development of micro-enterprises and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Key factors contributing to this are the increasing purchasing power of Poles, rising real wages, and improving creditworthiness, which are all expected to boost sales in the service and retail sectors.
Data from the Credit Information Bureau indicates a significant growth of over one-third in investment loan sales for SMEs, reflecting a growing confidence in business prospects. This trend is particularly visible in construction and service industries, where businesses are starting to rebound from previous economic challenges. Furthermore, although the economic situation for firms remains fragile, other indicators from Poland's National Bank showing gradual improvements in the overall business climate suggest that conditions are slowly but steadily advancing.
While caution is warranted due to the current weaknesses in the economic environment, the positive trends in credit sales and the gradual recovery of the business climate indicate that Polish entrepreneurs may face a more favorable landscape in the coming years. Analysts suggest that continued support for SMEs will be vital for sustaining this growth and transforming optimism into lasting economic stability.
