UFMA opens 32 positions for substitute teachers; with salaries of up to R$ 8 thousand
The Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA) has opened a selection process for the hiring of 32 substitute teachers with salaries reaching R$ 8 thousand.
The Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA) has initiated a simplified selection process to hire substitute teachers across various fields of knowledge. There are a total of 32 vacancies available, with certain positions reserved for candidates who are black, indigenous, quilombola, or people with disabilities, in accordance with current legislation. This move aims to promote diversity and inclusivity within the educational environment of the university.
Interested candidates can submit their applications online until March 10 through the Integrated Human Resources Management System (SIGRH), specifically under the 'Concursos - Concursos Abertos' tab. An application fee of R$ 120 is required. The selection process consists of two main stages; firstly, a didactic test that is both eliminatory and classificatory, followed by a classification based solely on the evaluation of titles.
The selected teachers will have a workload of either 20 or 40 hours per week, depending on the position and requirements. Contracts will initially last for 12 months but may be subject to renewal based on the needs of the university. This initiative not only helps in addressing staffing needs but also enhances the quality of education by introducing qualified personnel into the academic structure of UFMA.
