Authorities from the National Police of Peru quickly responded to the incident, resulting in the arrest of three suspects originating from Puno: Wilfredo H., aged 37; Maricruz Q., aged 27; and Inés Q., aged 22. As per the head of the Cusco Police Region, Virgilio Velásquez, preliminary investigations suggest that the robbers had been planning the attack since February 12, indicating a level of premeditation that points to organized criminal activity.
