Acciona boosts its profit by 90% to 803 million with the sale of renewable assets
Acciona has reported a 90% increase in profits, reaching 803 million euros, attributed to its renewable asset sales and robust performance in related businesses.
Acciona, a prominent Spanish infrastructure and renewable energy company, announced a remarkable 90% surge in its profit, reaching 803 million euros, primarily driven by its strategy of selling renewable assets. This performance is reflective of the company’s effective execution of its asset divestiture plan in the renewable sector, alongside strong results from its wind turbine manufacturing subsidiary, Nordex, and the profitability of its infrastructure division. The company's reported earnings underscore its solid position in the energy market, positioning it for future growth.
In light of these financial results, Acciona’s board has proposed a dividend of 5.6 euros per share, amounting to a total of 310 million euros for the fiscal year 2025. This proposed dividend represents a 6% increase from the previous year’s distribution of 5.28 euros per share, showcasing the company’s commitment to sharing its success with shareholders. The increase in dividend reflects not only strong earnings but also a positive outlook on company performance following substantial sales in the renewable sector.
With overall revenues rising by 5% to 20.236 billion euros and a notable increase of 30.8% in EBITDA to 3.211 billion euros, Acciona has outperformed its goals set for the fiscal year. These financial improvements suggest a robust trajectory for the company as it capitalizes on the growing demand for renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure, further enhancing its competitive edge in the global market.
