Not a fleeting act.. continuity makes a difference that does not stop

The 'Waqf Thurayd' initiative provides a specialized approach to food distribution emphasizing dignity and hospitality, with organized service windows for men, women, and children.

The 'Waqf Thurayd' initiative stands out as a specialized model for providing food assistance, designed in a way that emphasizes both dignity and hospitality. The initiative features three service windows tailored to the demographics of the local area—one for men, one for women, and one for children—ensuring that families receive meals corresponding to their size. Each meal weighs between 600 and 650 grams and is delivered with a smile and the phrase 'Good health and wellness', reinforcing the values of respect and community support.

The program highlighted in the 'Step by Step' episode titled 'Continuous Impact', hosted by Muhammad Al-Sada, discusses this approach's philosophy. Notably, Waqf Thurayd avoids creating a closed distribution hall that might stigmatize those in need, allowing beneficiaries to choose when and where to consume their meals in comfort. The meal packages also lack any branding, enabling recipients to take them home discreetly without embarrassment.

Furthermore, the initiative relies on well-organized daily volunteer efforts, managed through an online platform, phone contacts, or in-person visits. Remarkably, the program has maintained a consistent influx of volunteers for over two years without any shortage, allowing as many people as possible to participate, including those who return to volunteer regularly. The sustainability of this initiative is deeply rooted in the Islamic concept of waqf, which centers on the principles of wealth management and community service, ensuring a long-lasting impact.
