Tel Aviv Marathon 2026: These are the streets and roads that will be closed to traffic

The Tel Aviv Marathon 2026 will take place tomorrow, with many city roads closed to traffic from early morning until the afternoon.

The Tel Aviv Marathon 2026 is set to commence tomorrow morning, with extensive road closures affecting traffic from 4:00 AM until 1:30 PM. The marathon will kick off at Rokach Boulevard, heading west near the Hamei Yisrael parking lot, and will conclude at the Yarkon Parkโ€™s event hill. Participants will run through key locations including Tel Aviv Port, Herbert Samuel Promenade, Clock Square, King George Street, Rothschild Boulevard, Tassa Street, Dizengoff Street, Ben Gurion Boulevard, and Ibn Gabirol Street.

Various roads will face closures: in the northern part of the city, intersections like Glilot and streets such as 2040 and Levi Eshkol will be affected; in the east, roads including Weizmann, KKL, and Bnei Efrayim; in the west, coastal routes and Herbert Samuel. Southern closures will impact Shlafim, Ben Tsvi, Eliflet, Kibbutz Galuyot, the Jaffa Port area, and Clock Square. Notably, Namir Road will be inaccessible to vehicles from 11:45 AM to 5:00 AM in both directions between Glilot and Shlomo Goren intersections.

Police have recommended participants use public transportation, particularly trains, with the nearest station being the university station, to ease traffic congestion and ensure a smoother experience during the marathon. This event not only promotes athletic endurance but also underscores the city's cultural vibrancy as it attracts both local and international runners.
