Late on the night of Wednesday, the 25th, the area experienced a torrential downpour that submerged houses and vehicles, particularly affecting the Vila Diva neighborhood. Residents indicated that flooding incidents have become a recurring issue in the region.
By Thursday afternoon, October 26, floodwaters had not fully receded, complicating the aftermath for the affected families. The Civil Defense also joined the efforts, providing support and assistance to those impacted by the flood. The heavy rainfall recorded by the Centro Integrado de Informações Agrometeorológicas (Ciiagro) indicated a total of 69 mm between the evening of Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, with 59 mm falling in just one hour, exacerbating the flooding conditions.
