Câmara de Campos holds hearings and resumes legislative work

The Chamber of Campos dos Goytacazes resumes legislative activities following a recess, with public hearings scheduled for transparency and health management reports.

The Chamber of Campos dos Goytacazes, located in Northern Fluminense, Brazil, has resumed its legislative duties after a two-month recess. On Thursday, the chamber is scheduled to hold a public hearing to present the management report from the Municipal Health Department for the third quarter of 2025. Additionally, the report from the Department of Transparency and Control will also be presented on the same day, which emphasizes the chamber's commitment to accountability and oversight.

These activities signify the start of the legislative year after the formal opening session held on Tuesday, which marked the end of the recess. The resumption of activities not only involves public presentations but also includes a return to voting on projects, discussions in the plenary, and the oversight of executive actions. Throughout the year, the chamber intends to promote further public hearings to ensure transparency in its processes and decision-making.

In 2025 alone, the chamber has conducted over 100 sessions, approved more than 200 projects, facilitated 20 public hearings, and established a Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPI) to investigate relevant matters, highlighting its active role in local governance. This resumption of legislative work showcases the chamber's commitment to engaging with the community and ensuring proper oversight of municipal actions.
