Seeded second Glinka lost in the second round

Estonian tennis player Daniil Glinka was eliminated in the second round of the ATP Challenger tournament in Lugano, Switzerland.

Estonian tennis pro Daniil Glinka, currently ranked ATP 171, faced defeat in the second round of the ATP Challenger 75 tournament held in Lugano, Switzerland. After winning his first-round match against local player Dylan Dietrich (ATP 1050) with a score of 6-3, 6-4, Glinka's hopes ended against Swiss player Marc-Andrea Hüsler (ATP 229), who won the match 7-6(5), 6-4.

In the first set, Glinka initially led 4-2 in the tiebreak but lost four consecutive points, costing him the set. The second set hinged on a crucial ninth game where Hüsler executed the only break of serve in the match. The total duration of the match was one hour and 41 minutes, with Hüsler showcasing an impressive serving performance by winning 89 percent of points on his first serve, despite committing three double faults and scoring 18 aces.

Glinka, on the other hand, registered seven aces and made four double faults while winning 70 percent of his first-serve points. He fought hard against Hüsler, saving four out of five break points faced during the match. This defeat marks a setback for Glinka as he looks to improve his standings on the ATP circuit.
