VIDEO: Criminals invade house and flee leaving vault behind after being caught by neighbor
A group of criminals attempted to rob a house in Campo Grande, Brazil, but fled after being noticed by a neighbor, leaving behind a vault they had started to carry away.
A burglary attempt occurred on Rua Giocondo Orsi in the Vilas Boas neighborhood of Campo Grande, Brazil, involving at least three suspects. The criminals were caught in the act by a neighbor who heard suspicious noises and went outside to investigate. Security cameras captured footage of the suspects arriving in a white car and forcibly entering the property.
During the invasion, one neighbor witnessed two of the criminals trying to drag the vault out of the house. Although they managed to move the vault to the front gate, they did not have time to open it or take it with them when they fled. The police stated that they were called to the scene by the homeowner, who found the house in disarray and discovered that multiple items had been stolen, although specific details regarding the stolen items were not shared.
The police have categorized this incident as qualified theft, and it has been reported at the local Community Emergency Police Station (Cepol). This event highlights concerns about burglary and home safety in local neighborhoods and underscores the importance of community vigilance to prevent such crimes.
