Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav has held a meeting with leaders of the Grand Alliance in the Vidhan Sabha premises in Patna to strategize for the elections, particularly focusing on securing the fifth Rajya Sabha seat. Efforts are being made to reach a consensus among the alliance parties regarding candidate selections and support for the elections.

During this period, Akhtarul Iman, the Bihar president of the AIMIM (All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen), met with Tejashwi Yadav. Post-meeting, Iman stated that his party has already put forward their claim for a Rajya Sabha seat and is seeking support from the Grand Alliance for their candidate. He emphasized the importance of solidarity among parties in the coming days, suggesting that mutual support is crucial for success in the elections.

Tejashwi Yadav assured that the Grand Alliance is fully prepared to field a candidate for the fifth Rajya Sabha seat, asserting that the numbers favor them and they are confident of winning the elections. He indicated that an announcement regarding the candidate would be made soon, but he also mentioned that he would consider the AIMIM's support in the decision-making process. Meanwhile, discussions about seat sharing are also ongoing within the NDA (National Democratic Alliance), reflecting the dynamic and competitive nature of Bihar's political climate during this election season.
