Estonian ice sailors bring home bronze from the European Championships in Sweden
Estonian sailors Indrek Aavik and Siim Valgre won a bronze medal in the European Championships held in Sweden.
At the Monotype-XV class European Championships held in Herrfallet, Sweden, Estonian ice sailors Indrek Aavik and Siim Valgre achieved a commendable feat by securing a bronze medal. Their performance was a notable highlight amidst strong competitors, demonstrating their skill and dedication to the sport of ice sailing.
The championship featured a total of nine races, with the best seven results accounting for the final standings. Alongside the bronze medal-winning duo, other Estonian representatives performed admirably, with Olev Oolup and Andrus Padu finishing fourth, Joosep Laus and Karl Lember in seventh, and Ott Kolk and Tanel Peeters in ninth place. The event witnessed participation from a total of 28 competitors, signifying both high competition levels and the importance of international participation.
