A significant incident occurred in the village of Švaininkai, located in Panevėžys district, where the roof of a barn collapsed, trapping a number of livestock underneath. The report was received at 6:02 PM, prompting an immediate response from local firefighters who arrived at the scene to assess the situation. Upon their arrival, they found that the collapsed roof had affected a total of 19 animals, including cows and calves.

Firefighters worked diligently to dismantle the collapsed structure and successfully freed four cows, two heifers, and 13 calves that had been trapped under the debris. Fortunately, the initial reports indicated that none of the animals sustained serious injuries during the incident.
