The husband killed his wife's lover and said, 'Tell me if your wife deceives you'

In Meerut, a man shot his wife's lover dead in a public market, escalating a personal feud linked to an extramarital affair.

In a shocking incident in Meerut's Ramraaj town, a man named Pradeep allegedly shot and killed Surendra, also known as Sunil, in broad daylight. The shooting, said to be the culmination of a personal vendetta intertwined with a love triangle, occurred outside a Sanatan Dharma temple. Witnesses reported that the assailant ambushed Surendra from behind while he was riding his motorcycle, shooting him three times at close range, resulting in immediate death. After the murder, the culprit shared a video on social media claiming responsibility and challenging the police before going into hiding.

The incident happened around 1:45 PM in a busy marketplace, captured by CCTV cameras, which clearly show Surendra falling to the ground after being shot. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead on arrival, causing panic among onlookers and leading to a heavy police presence as investigations commenced.

This attack reportedly stems from a conflict that arose about one and a half years ago, including disputes related to a court marriage. The police are now investigating the background of this feud and the circumstances leading to such a violent act in a public space, raising questions about safety and law enforcement effectiveness in managing personal disputes that escalate to such extremes.
