Lombardy boasts three hospitals ranked among the top 100 in the world according to Newsweek's 'World's Best Hospitals 2026' list.
Lombardy continues to stand out in international healthcare, as highlighted by the recent 'World's Best Hospitals 2026' ranking released by Newsweek. This list showcases a total of five Lombard hospitals positioned among the top eight in Italy, underscoring the region's commitment to quality healthcare. The rankings are based on several critical parameters, including care quality, professional reputation, performance indicators, and patient safety, providing an independent and authoritative assessment of the best hospitals worldwide.
Notably, three Lombard hospitals have achieved remarkable placements within the top 100 globally: Grande Ospedale Metropolitano Niguarda ranks 43rd, Istituto Clinico Humanitas di Rozzano is at 51st, and Ospedale San Raffaele - Gruppo San Donato in Milan is ranked 57th. This impressive performance reflects not only on the hospitals themselves but also on the healthcare standards in Lombardy, showcasing the region's investments and advancements in medical care.
Additionally, just outside of the top 100, Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital in Bergamo and Policlinico San Matteo in Pavia rank 104th and 134th, respectively.
