Mother, son escape death in Lagos road crash

A mother and her son survived a serious road accident in Lagos when their SUV overturned multiple times on a busy expressway.

In Lagos, Nigeria, a mother and her son experienced a harrowing escape from a severe car accident involving their Lexus SUV. The vehicle overturned three times at the NYSC Bus Stop along the LASU–Isheri Expressway early on Monday morning, as confirmed by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA). The incident happened during peak-hour traffic, creating additional concern among onlookers and authorities.

According to LASTMA’s statement, the Lexus was travelling from Isheri to Igando when it suddenly lost stability, leading to the catastrophic rollover. Fortunately, both occupants were successfully extricated from the vehicle despite the extensive damage and were reported to have sustained only minor injuries, including visible bruises and mild trauma. The quick response by LASTMA and the Nigeria Police Force was instrumental in managing the scene effectively.
