Toll on BR-101 will increase starting Friday (27) in ES; see new values
The toll rates on the BR-101 in Espírito Santo will increase by an average of 15.06% starting Friday, impacting all seven toll booths along the highway.
The BR-101 highway in Espírito Santo, Brazil, will see an average toll increase of 15.06% effective Friday, with the changes approved by the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT). This annual adjustment affects the seven toll booths that operate along the 475 kilometers of the highway in the state.
The toll hike will not be uniform across all toll plazas; for instance, in Pedro Canário, located in northern Espírito Santo, the increase is particularly steep, with rates climbing by 52.9%. Here, motorists will see the price for cars, pickup trucks, and vans rise from R$ 3.40 to R$ 5.20. These changes are based on the tariff adjustment index reflecting the national inflation rate from November 2022 to December 2025.
With the toll adjustments set to impact daily commuters and freight transport, stakeholders are urged to prepare for the changes. The increase highlights ongoing concerns regarding transportation costs in Brazil and emphasizes the importance of efficient infrastructure management as the country looks to improve logistics and connectivity.
