Rodrigo Nascimento Castro, a public server in Sorriso, Mato Grosso, was taken into custody on October 24 after being implicated in the murder of Euler Ramon Bastos dos Santos, who was 25 years old at the time of his death in December of the previous year. Prosecutors allege that Castro played a role as the driver of the vehicle used during the crime, assisting the primary shooter, Lucas da Silva de Jesus, and a teenage accomplice. Moreover, Castro is accused of fabricating information by wrongfully implicating an inmate in the case, who had been a victim of sexual assault in the same police station where he worked.
