Project Solo Vivo will provide technical assistance and mechanization to 600 producers in RJ in 2026

The Project Solo Vivo aims to assist 600 rural producers in Rio de Janeiro starting in 2026.

Project Solo Vivo is set to launch in 2026, with the objective of providing ongoing technical assistance, agricultural mechanization, and professional training to 600 rural producers in Rio de Janeiro. This initiative, developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and educational institutions like the Federal Institute of Fluminense, aims to enhance productivity and make family agriculture more competitive and sustainable, targeting various regions including North and Northwest Fluminense, Serrana Region, South Fluminense, Centro-South, and Metropolitan areas.

The project is spearheaded by Deputy Hugo Leal, who emphasizes addressing a significant challenge faced by the agriculture sector in Rio de Janeiro: the lack of continuous technical support for farmers. Many producers currently operate without specialized assistance, which undermines their productivity and ability to compete in the market. By implementing this project, he hopes to not only uplift local farmers but also contribute to the overall economic growth of the region.

Scheduled to be executed between February 2026 and February 2027, the actions under Project Solo Vivo will be critical in ensuring that farmers receive the necessary support to develop sustainable farming practices. This aligns with wider agricultural reforms aimed at strengthening food security and improving livelihoods for rural communities in the state, creating a pathway for growth that benefits both the agricultural sector and the local economy.
