Pohde has reclaimed nearly 700,000 euros in caregiver support – often due to client errors, but also information gaps at Pohde

The Pohde welfare area has recouped over 689,000 euros in caregiver support payments from clients due to various issues, including clients' errors and lapses in information handling.

The Pohde welfare area in Northern Ostrobothnia has been involved in the recovery of over 689,000 euros in caregiver support payments from 523 clients between 2023 and 2025. The amounts that need to be repaid vary, with instances ranging from tens to thousands of euros. According to Virpi Rääpysjärvi, the director of the age and caregiver services center at Pohde, two of these repayment cases have even escalated to the Administrative Court of Northern Finland in recent times.
