‘Evidence against Avimukteshwaranand in Pen Drive’, claims Ashutosh Brahmachari

Ashutosh Brahmachari claims to have provided evidence against Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand regarding sexual abuse, stored on a pen drive.

In an exclusive interview with Aaj Tak, Ashutosh Brahmachari, the president of the Shrikrishna Janmabhoomi Mukti Nirman Trust, asserted that he has submitted substantial evidence against Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand related to allegations of sexual exploitation. He mentioned that all pertinent photographs and videos have been compiled and stored on a pen drive, which has been handed over to the authorities for investigation.

Brahmachari further emphasized that the evidence, which he claims is very damning, resides within his laptop, suggesting a thorough collection of materials that could implicate the Shankaracharya. When addressing inquiries regarding his past as a history-sheeter, Brahmachari acknowledged his prior criminal record, stating, "Yes, I was a history-sheeter." This admission may raise questions about his credibility and could influence public perception amidst serious allegations against a well-known religious figure.

The allegations pose significant implications not only for Avimukteshwaranand but also for broader discussions surrounding accountability within religious institutions in India. As the case unfolds, it may catalyze discussions on the conduct of religious leaders and the governance of faith-based organizations, signaling a potential shift in how such cases are reported and handled by society at large.
