Construction inspection published findings on land use on President G. Nausėda's plot

A construction inspection in Lithuania has concluded that President G. Nausėda's plot of land does not violate any land use regulations.

In a recent press conference, the State Territorial Planning and Construction Inspectorate (VTPSI) reported its findings regarding the use of land owned by Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda. The inspection revealed that the state-owned land adjacent to Nausėda's property is not enclosed by a permanent fence and does not show signs of being used consistently with the private land. Albertas Stanislovaitis, head of VTPSI, stated that temporary fencing in the area is in place for security purposes and belongs to the State Protection Service, not the landowner.

Furthermore, Stanislovaitis emphasized that the temporary structures do not create a continuous encroachment on the private land, thus violating any regulations regarding land use. Measurements taken by the inspectors confirmed that the existing fence complies with established boundaries, and the building on Nausėda's plot does not extend beyond those limits. This outcome indicates that there are no reported infractions on land usage in this territory, thereby clearing Nausėda of any potential wrongdoing in regards to the management of his property.

These findings are particularly significant given the heightened scrutiny that public officials, especially heads of state, face regarding compliance with land use regulations. The clear outcome from the inspection serves to uphold the integrity of President Nausėda’s property dealings and mitigates any potential concerns among the public regarding land misuse by prominent figures in Lithuania.
