On Tuesday, police from the 1st Integrated Specialized Battalion (1st Biesp) seized approximately 241 kilograms of a substance akin to marijuana and arrested two men, aged 23 and 28, suspected of drug trafficking in the CaiucΓ‘ neighborhood of Caruaru, Pernambuco. The suspects were caught in the act and were taken for a custody hearing, where they remained at the disposal of justice. The incident was recorded by the 14th Sectional Police Station in Caruaru.
The seizure took place during a police operation in the neighborhood, where officers found the drugs stored in an abandoned warehouse. The substantial quantity of drugs, packed in plastic bags and buckets, drew attention and indicated preparation for potential distribution or mixing with other substances. The police emphasized the organized nature of the drug operation, suggesting that it was meant for larger-scale sales.
Multiple teams participated in this action, which successfully dismantled the facility used for drug storage, highlighting ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat drug trafficking in the region. The authorities are likely to continue investigations to trace the source of the drugs and any further connections in the trafficking network.
