According to a report from the news portal Eurohoops, specific details were released regarding the teams that will be competing in the upcoming NBA Europe tournament. The tournament will allow two teams from next season’s FIBA Champions League finalists to qualify for an NBA Europe spot, giving a significant chance to Vilnius' "Rytas" team, which has been participating in the Champions League for several years. Additionally, two more teams will be granted access through a separate qualifying round scheduled for June 2027.

It has been noted that 12 clubs will have guaranteed spots with long-term contracts, although the identities of these teams remain undisclosed at this time.
