Jehovah's Witnesses plan a major expansion of their headquarters in Finland: a large office building and four apartment buildings in Vantaa

Jehovah's Witnesses are planning a significant expansion of their headquarters in Vantaa, Finland, which includes new office and residential buildings.

In Vantaa, Finland, Jehovah's Witnesses are preparing to expand their headquarters with a substantial construction project in the Koivuha district. The proposed plan involves a zoning change for a vacant lot adjacent to their existing headquarters, allowing for the development of approximately 25,400 square meters of space, including one-third designated for residential purposes and the remainder for office use. The intended expansion includes five new buildings, varying from three to five stories high, as well as a parking structure.

The expansion plans are primarily driven by the growth of activities conducted by Jehovah's Witnesses in the area. Henri Järnstedt, a spokesperson for the community, emphasized that the expansion is a necessary response to their increasing needs in Vantaa. However, it’s important to note that the organization has not yet made final decisions regarding the construction and can opt to build less than what the zoning proposal permits.

If the zoning proposal is completed as planned, the facilities of the Jehovah's Witnesses headquarters will be more than doubled in the Koivuha district of Vantaa. This substantial development is expected to lead to the creation of additional jobs and housing units, contributing to the local economy and the community at large.
