Lithuanian border guards successfully retrieved a drone carrying 500 packs of illegal Belarusian cigarettes from a treetop using equipment from the Forestry Department.
In a notable enforcement operation, the Lithuanian border guards from the VarΔna district successfully intercepted a drone suspected of carrying illegal goods. The drone was first spotted flying near Milvydai village, prompting border guards to engage their anti-drone equipment to block the area and investigate further. The drone was found approximately half a kilometer from the state border, entangled in the high branches of a pine tree, which complicated the retrieval process significantly.
