Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has entered Tokyo, Japan, as part of a four-day foreign tour following his recent visit to Singapore. During this trip, he was warmly welcomed by Tokyo's Vice Governor Junichi Ishidera, India’s Ambassador to Japan Nagma Mohammad Mallick, and a large turnout from the Indian community in Tokyo. This marks CM Adityanath's first official visit to Japan, emphasizing the growing diplomatic and economic ties between Uttar Pradesh and Japan.

The visit follows a successful engagement in Singapore, where the Chief Minister secured investment proposals totaling ₹1 lakh crore (approximately $12.5 billion) and finalized MoUs worth around ₹60 crore (approximately $7.5 million). He expressed optimism that these investment-related initiatives would be instrumental in transforming Uttar Pradesh into a $1 trillion economy. During his current visit to Japan, he is set to engage with prominent industry leaders and invite them to invest in what he refers to as a 'new Uttar Pradesh', reflecting a significant shift from its previous economic challenges.
