Vertical Corridor: Long-term agreements with 4 countries for Atlantic SEE LNG Trade
Atlantic SEE LNG Trade signed long-term agreements for the sale of American LNG with four countries during an energy cooperation summit in Washington.
Atlantic SEE LNG Trade, in which the AKTOR Group holds a 60% stake and DEPA Commercial holds 40%, has signed long-term agreements for the sale of American LNG with four countries. This was announced during the Transatlantic Energy Cooperation Ministerial Summit held in Washington recently. The company's CEO, Alexandros Exarchou, represented Atlantic SEE LNG Trade, signing the agreements aimed at strengthening energy partnerships in the region.
The summit was crucial for fostering collaboration between the U.S. and European nations in energy trade, particularly for liquid natural gas (LNG). Exarchou spent several days in Washington preparing for these commercial talks, engaging with U.S. officials and other key stakeholders involved in the vertical corridor initiative. The agreements signed are expected to enhance energy security and diversify sources of supply for the participating countries, contributing to regional stability amid changing global energy dynamics.
The specific agreements were signed with Albania’s Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, Bulgaria’s state company BULGARGAZ, and two other entities. These agreements signify a significant step towards enhancing the energy infrastructure of the involved nations and could potentially pave the way for more comprehensive energy cooperation in the future. The move is particularly relevant as Europe seeks to reduce its reliance on Russian gas and promote alternative energy routes.
